On Friday 11th December, the school held it's annual Xmas Fayre. In addition to the normal hamper raffle, face painting, sweet pots and mystery parcel, this year we sold holly, beautiful crafts made by the pupils and made our own pizzas in the cobb oven which the children built earlier in the year. Santa made his usual appearance and the food hall was a great success. Thank you for all your time and efforts in making the evening such an enjoyable event.

Sunday 01 March saw the third Combe School PFA 10k and Fun Run take place in excellent conditions for running.

Both races attracted record numbers, with 125 entering the 10k (110 finishing) and 72 finishing the 2k Fun Run.

Donna Parsons, Chair of the PFA, would like to thank all those who gave their time not only to enter, but also to help marshal and man the event, and especially to M. Holleran Ltd, the event’s main sponsors, for their generous help.

The final figure for money raised will be available shortly, but is expected to be a significant amount.

On Saturday 27 September, the PFA hosted a Race Night Event in Combe Village Hall, in aid of the School Governors’ Fund.

The event was a major success and raised a huge £1300.00 profit. All this money will be donated directly to the Governors’ Fund

and will be used to further enhance the learning experience for all the pupils.

Donna Parsons (Chair) and the Committee would like to extend their thanks to all those who attended, sponsored and contributed in any way to making the night such a success.

Special thanks to James Boyland who, at the last minute, stepped in to provide the projector, after the PFA had been badly let down. Also to Steve Chadwick, whose auctioneering skills were in a large way responsible for the money raised on the night.
