This is a fabulous event that showcases our village and its hilly terrain.  Set on the edge of the Blackdown Hills you can expect a good workout.  The steep hill at the beginning takes you up to the top of the valley and then a twisty rural route brings you back around the lanes to re-enter the village from a different side.  The route is all lanes and well marshalled at all points.  The start and finish is on grass on the school field.  Wheelchair users can take part, please simply inform us of your needs and we will do everything we can to make it welcoming for you.  We do have wheelchair accessible facilities but some parts of the school are not accessible to wheelchair users.  If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact me (Emma McCullough on 01460 61349) for further details.   Alternatively we have a facebook page you can contact me on:  Combe St Nicholas 10K & Fun Run.  Or you can e-mail me on themcculloughs@emmamc.plus.com

The 10K run has been running for 5 years now and is attracting entries from all over the country.  We pride ourselves on a good, challenging route and lots of helpful and encouraging marshals along the way.  There is a water stop half way round and we offer lots of refreshments at the school, which is our operation centre on the day.  You can enter by post.  Simply fill in the attached entry form and send with a cheque to Emma McCullough, 7 Millway, Wambrook, Chard, Somerset, TA20 3EH or enter on the day at the school.  You will need to register on the day in the school to receive your number and you can make use of the baggage storage on site too.  Sadly, we don’t have any shower facilities but toilets and changing areas are provided. 

We had over 125 runners last year who all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and over 70 fun runners.  Please come along and try us out if you haven’t already and we look forward to seeing our previous entrants back again.

Results will be given out along with winners’ trophies after the race at the school and each entrant receives a medal.
